About the Founder, Cyndy SextonCynthia Sexton received her Bachelor of Science degree in education from the University of Maine in Orono. Cyndy has 33 years of experience teaching elementary-aged children and perfecting her instructional skills. Since her pre-teen years, Cyndy has enjoyed the creativity of knitting, embroidery, cross-stitch, flower arranging, sewing, scrapbooking, and stamping. Since 1997, Cyndy has been learning beading skills from her cousin, who owns a bead store in Oak Park, Illinois. Cyndy is anxious to use those unique craft skills and instructional techniques to offer beading experiences in various craft mediums. |

About Beads on the KennebecBeads on the Kennebec is a premier bead store. Our doors were opened for the customers' shopping pleasure on August 16, 2004. We carry a large variety of gemstones, Czech glass, clay, delica, seed, crystal beads, beading supplies, and books. Our objective is to create a place that provides a variety of beads and supplies and enhances the customers' experience with beads. We offer weekly classes, where customers can learn beading skills, beading stitches to make unique jewelry, and how to use beads in other craft areas, including knitting, crochet and cross stitch |
